Hello!

I'm so glad that you are here! The quick story is that I'm a photographer, a wife, a mom of two boys, and a dog mom.

The long story is that I grew up outside of Viroqua, Wisconsin. I ended up at Michigan Technological University for college and graduated with a degree in Scientific and Technical Communication. I was a web designer for a minute and then moved back here to La Crosse to be a technical writer at a software company. I officially started my photography business in 2007. It had been a dream of mine for a long time, and honestly, I still can't believe some days that it is actually my job. Wedding photography specifically turned into an obsession when my husband and I were planning our wedding way back in 2004/2005. Later, when we decided to start a family in 2007, I decided to quit my full-time tech writing job to focus on photography and my family. I might have been a little naive to start a business and have a baby at the same time, but in the end it was one of the best decisions of my life. I said yes to every session and did all of the weddings (booking 30 weddings shortly after quitting my job).

In 2017, after our youngest went to kindergarten, I opened a studio space in downtown La Crosse, Wisconsin to photograph maternity, newborns, older babies, and families. It has been the best decision, and I love connecting again with my past wedding clients and meeting lots of new families.
