2011 Best of the Best, Candid Moments

It is the time of year again when I do my “Best of the Best” contest. This contest is supposed to be simple and fun. Please don’t cheat. Here are the rules:

  • Pick one favorite picture for each category, and leave a comment on the blog post (not Facebook). I approve all comments, which might take awhile. Your comment might not appear right away.
  • Spread the word on Facebook or email…recruit your friends and family to vote for your favorite too! However, just one vote per e-mail address/IP address (in other words, one vote per person!). You cannot enter votes for other people. Your friends and family must actually vote for themselves.
  • Remember that you are voting for the picture, not the subject matter.

The winner in each category will receive an 8×10-inch print of that picture. You can continue to vote in past categories until midnight, Wednesday, January 11. The winners will be announced on Friday! Next up, Candid Moments.

  1. #7-Ryan and Melissa- I love how the focus is on Melissa and the wine glasses, but you can see parts of everyone.

  2. Tiffany, you captured so many great moments! But since I have to pick, I like #4 – Kyle & Sara

  3. #7 Ryan and Melissa. I love how several of the wedding details and the brides candid expression were captured in this shot! Cheers to the beginning of something special for Ryan and Melissa!

  4. #6!!!! Funniest thing ever. My sister became a rapper and my brother-in-law became a beat-boxer. Absolutely hilarious, captures the moment perfectly!

  5. # 11,This picture forsure captures the moment. Matt’s speech brought tears to my eyes when he started talking about the appreciation and love he had for his parents, sweet.

  6. #11 This is what happens when your son thanks you for the upbringing you provided him and ends it with, “Mom, I love you.”

  7. Another really difficult category to pick just one!! My vote is for #16–Zach and Laura. What a beautiful moment you captured.

  8. #6 Bobby and Heather – I feel like an explanation is needed for this one! I’m the girl in purple holding the microphone, and Heather is my sister. As a surprise for her reception, my husband and I wrote and performed a rap, using the “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” theme song as the inspiration. We changed the words of the song to be about Bobby and Heather, and my hubby provided the beat-boxing back-up. “Welcome to the family, but you’re living downstairs!” 🙂
