Peder and Amanda, married

Saturday was the very beautiful wedding of Peder and Amanda. The wedding ceremony was in Wisconsin Dells. Everything was arranged with the Dells Boat Tour company. Peder, the groomsmen, and wedding guests took a boat to a canyon while Amanda and her bridesmaids got ready in a stone pavillion in the canyon. After the boat docked, Peder and the groomsmen stepped off the boat while all of the guests stayed on the boat to view the ceremony.

I know Peder and Amanda had been worried about the weather, and it turned to be just a gorgeous day. I think we were all happy about that! 🙂 Because of the complexity of this wedding, I asked an old co-worker of mine, Scott Roellig, to be a second shooter. I wanted him to be on the boat while I stayed with the bridesmaids. I asked Scott to capture candids and the details, and he did just that. He did an awesome job. Really, I’m so jealous of some of the pictures that he took. You’ll see some throughout this post.

Ok, on with the pictures!

Scott even caught me in one of the pictures! I had to show this one of me “working.” 🙂

The reception was held at the Cranberry Lodge in Tomah, WI.

I feel very strongly about turning off my flash, if I can, for a few pictures during the reception to catch the ambient light. Though the picture may not be perfectly sharp, you end up with photos like this one. During the first dance, Peder and Amanda’s daughter started running laps around them. It was so cute, I had to catch her “in motion.”

Peder and Amanda, thank you so much for asking me to be part of your day. I had so much fun. I felt like I went on a little vacation to the Dells. 🙂 I wish you two much happiness together. I also have to thank Scott for making the trip with me. It was nice to have company!

P.S. Has anyone noticed that when you upload a picture to Flickr it changes the colors? I’ve heard of it making pictures more contrasty, but my last few uploads, I think my pictures look so dark and dull compared to the original on my computer. I’m not sure what is going on, but I don’t like it.

Update: My color issue is now fixed!
