Saturday was Kevin and Danielle’s engagement session. We started off at their house with some family pictures with Danielle’s son. He’s such a cutie!

Then we headed downtown La Crosse, WI and to Riverside park for some pictures of Kevin and Danielle alone. It has been awhile since I had an engagement session and Saturday was such a beautiful day. Danielle had good ideas for locations and poses. It’s always nice when it is so easy to work with a couple.

Kevin and Danielle, thanks for a fun session! I can’t wait for your wedding next June.

Friday was Matt and Erin’s wedding. We started off with pictures of the guys. I loved their shoes and the whole look of the guy’s tuxes.

Matt rocked the white blazer.

Then on to pictures of the girls. The bridesmaids had super high silver heels, while Erin stuck with the comfy sneakers.

I loved Erin’s look, as well. Her dress was gorgeous with all of the beading.

Their ceremony was at First Lutheran in Onalaska, WI. They had a 5:00pm candlelit ceremony, which was really beautiful.

Erin isn’t much of a hugger, so it made me chuckle that this picture is one of my favorites.

Matt and Erin wrote their own vows. They were SO sweet. I seriously wish I had a copy of Matt’s. I got really teary-eyed, and had to stop listening so I could capture Erin’s reaction.

After the ceremony, we headed to Pettibone for some more shoe pictures (I mean fun pictures).

During their engagement session, I had Erin and Matt walk away from me and asked Matt to click his heels together. We had to try that one again, though I think I did a better job at their engagement session.

Of course some details…

The reception was held at Pettibone Resort in La Crosse, WI. The room was so pretty. I loved all of the twinkle lights.

Matt drove this cake from Winona to La Crosse on his own! Those flowers are frosting, by the way.

Erin and her dad had a fun father-daughter dance.

I realized today that I never show the bouquet toss picture and they are usually so fun. Erin really threw her’s. It landed in a (married) man’s lap. :)

Erin and Matt, thank you for letting me be a part of your day. You had such a fun wedding. I’ve really enjoyed getting to know you two better. I wish you the best!

I think I told everybody that I came in contact with from the time we booked tickets to Pennsylvania right up to this moment that I was extremely nervous about the flight because Max hasn’t slept in my arms since he was around 5 months old. I never thought this would happen, but both flights he napped almost the whole time. I can’t believe it.

Car rides during the trip were another story though. One minute it was this

Besides a few really bad car rides, Max was a pretty good traveler. He loved running around the airports. He was happy to be home though, and so are we. I have lots more pictures from our trip on Flickr.

I’m back “in the office” and back into the swing of things. Yesterday, I got to photograph Noah, a 2-week old, and his family. I took maternity pictures of Mom (and also Noah’s big brother) earlier this summer. I’m so happy that I was able to photograph this sweet family again while Dad is home from Iraq.

Noah was awake for the whole session. I love sleeping baby pictures, but it is even nicer when you can see their eyes.

Can’t resist baby feet…

I have been dyyyyying to share this with you. Dyyyying. Seriously. Last winter (winter! so long ago!), I was contacted by Coulee Parenting Connection magazine to be a part of this local magazine’s cover photo contest. A whole bunch of kids in the area submitted their photo to the magazine. I believe it was 12 kids that were selected to be featured in each issue of the magazine this year. I got to take pictures for the Back to School edition of the magazine. The four children were even lent clothes from Valley View Mall. I took these pictures in June, and it was SO HARD not to share them with you. I had so much fun doing this session. The kids were great, and it has been really great working with the folks at Coulee Parenting Connection. The magazine came out while I was on vacation and I have been on a mission since I came home to find it. It is distributed all over La Crosse, but the ones within walking distance of my house were already all gone. I finally found one at a coffee shop downtown. I squealed when I saw the cover.
