Mark and Jen actually live just a couple of blocks from us. Last spring, Mark received orders for Iraq and shortly after they found out they were going to have a baby. Mark was able to come home for a couple weeks and the timing was perfect. Jen went into labor two days after he arrived. I was so completely honored that they asked me to photograph this time in their life.\r\n\r\nThe natural light in their home was perfect.\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\r\nShe was pretty sleepy for the whole session, but she fluttered her eyes for a bit. I do love capturing newborns with their eyes open.\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\r\nMark and Jen, thank you again! Your daughter is just beautiful.\r\n\r\nP.S. I really do love newborn sessions, and though I'm not taking any other portraits sessions at this time, I am happy to try to fit in a newborn session during the work week. It works best when you contact me before the baby is born, and the session happens within the first two weeks of birth.
