Dawn Silva<\/a>, my fabulous second shooter, is on vacation for awhile. While she is away, April Bodenburg<\/a>, my friend and former bride<\/a> (who recently had a drastic career change to photography) is helping me out. April has her own blog and will be posting her pictures soon. I will update this post when she does.<\/span> Update: April posted the pictures on her blog here<\/a>. They are incredible. I'm so happy she was with to help. Can you believe this was just her third time second shooting? <\/strong>She photographed the guys getting ready at the Bentley-Wheeler guest house<\/a> here in La Crosse.\r\n\r\nI photographed Colleen and the girls at Colleen's parent's house. Later, the ceremony was held at Blessed Sacrament and the reception at the Grand Hotel Ballroom<\/a> located above the Pearl ice cream and coffee shop (the ballroom is by far one of my favorite reception sites in La Crosse).\r\n\r\nAt Colleen's parent's house...\r\n\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\r\nThey broke out a little champagne to celebrate before the ceremony. \ud83d\ude42\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\r\nI don't post wedding party pictures very often to save room, but all of the groomsmen were Gavin's friends and family from Ireland. I had to post a couple of them. They were so fun!\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\r\nAfter the ceremony, Colleen and Gavin checked into their ballroom suite at the Bentley Wheeler bed and breakfast. We took some pictures there too.\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\r\nYou long-time blog followers may remember a similar picture<\/a> I took last summer in these chairs at the Bodega. I noticed these groomsmen sitting in them and laughed.\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\r\nOf course, I captured Colleen and Gavin too.\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\r\nThen to the Grand Hotel Ballroom...\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\r\nGavin made the most genuine, loving speech at the reception. This is seriously why I love this job so much.\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\r\nGavin's brother and best man played an Irish song before the dance.\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\r\nThen we had some time before the dance to walk around downtown a bit. I just love these pictures. That's all I can say, really.\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>\r\n\r\nUm, Colleen, you are gorgeous! \ud83d\ude42\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\r\nGavin and Colleen, thank you, really. It was truly an honor to capture your wedding day. I wish you two much happiness, and you know if I'm ever in Ireland, I am stopping by for a visit!
